About Damrivi

for Spiritual, Social and Economic Development

The Damrivi Foundation was set up in 2003 by a group of academics and professionals to establish a forum for social action guided by Buddhist insights and philosophy. The founders were inspired by the conviction that Buddhism provides a philosophy and a way of life promoting welfare of humankind and its harmony with environment. However that the great potential that lies in Buddhism remains to a large extent yet to be explored, articulated and actualized.

Dhamma Programs

Explore Transformative Paths to Inner Peace, Wisdom, and Mindful Living

Damrivi Foundation conducts guided meditation programs on a weekly basis and organizes retreats periodically. These sessions are patronized by Buddhists and also non-Buddhists who wish to pursue on the spiritual path. The meditation programs are offered free of charge and supported by benevolent donors.

We have qualified counselors thoughout the week i.e. Monday to Sunday. Other than the statutory holidays, these counselors are at your service. We conduct counseling “Free of charge” on Saturdays for low income individuals and families

Damrivi conducts an eighteen months diploma course on psychological counseling with Buddhist insights. The panel of lecturers comprise of psychiatrists, psychologists, experts in Buddhist philosophy and counseling. This Counseling diploma is approved by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and skills Development.
