On 19th May 2024, Ms. Lasanthika Madushani, Clinical Psychologist, conducted a practice-oriented training workshop for mental health professionals on Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Participants discussed the fundamentals of ADHD, from its etiology (causes of the disorder) and symptomatology (observable signs and symptoms in the client) to best management practices across the early stages of human development.
The program provided invaluable experiential learning opportunities for counsellors to practice screening for ADHD and grasp the nuances of symptom management within the context of Sri Lankan cultural influences and available resources.
